We are raising €10.000 to reprint an old book. Why?

Here's the backstory. More than 60 years ago, Loren Cunningham, who founded YWAM together with his wife Darlene, had a vision:

“Suddenly, I was looking up at a map of the world. Only the map was alive, moving! I sat up. I shook my head, rubbed my eyes. It was a mental movie. I could see all the continents. Waves were crashing onto the shores. Each went onto a continent, then receded, then came up further until it covered the continent completely.

“I caught my breath. Then, as I watched, the scene changed. The waves became young people–kids my age and even younger–covering the continents. They were talking to people on the street corners and outside bars. They were going house to house. They were preaching.

“Was that really you, Lord? I wondered, still staring at the wall, amazed. Young people–kids really–going out as missionaries! What an idea! And I thought ‘Why did God give me this vision?’ ”

We, as YWAM Trentino, live to see this happen. We are these young people from all over, going to every part of the world. And we are part of this vision: Seeing more and more young people, and especially this new generation, discipling the nations. Our mandate comes from Jesus' own words in Matthew 28, but also Mark 16. To go to the ends of the earth and make disciples of all nations. To preach the Good News of the Kingdom to all peoples. And we eagerly desire to see ITALIANS raised up as missionaries, for there aren't many.

The story of Loren Cunningham is written in his first book, called: "Is that really you God?" Years ago there has been an Italian translation, but since a few years, this book is sold out. It took us, YWAM'ers, even quite some time to trace down a hardcopy. We realized that, even though Loren's book is a little older, it has played a key role in inspiring many young people to become Missionaries. Therefore we want to see this book edited and republished. Because we believe this book will play a key role in inspiring many Italians to be part of that wave of missionaries.

We are aiming to raise € 10.000,- to be able to republish and print the first 2000 new editions. Will you join us to raise up the next generation of Italian Missionaries?
